If you are looking to improve your health and fitness, now is a great time to do it! The holidays are over. It’s good to be active during these dark and cold months (it will help with your mood), and (most) facilities are safer than ever!

“Fitness centers are needed now more than ever to help us stay active and maintain a healthy immune system,” said Robert Sallis, M.D. with Kaiser Permanente. “COVID-19 risk factors haven’t changed since the pandemic began – obesity, heart disease, lung disease and diabetes put you at much higher risk for both short- and long-term complications. It’s imperative that we all make real change now to stay healthy given that exercise is an essential part of life.”

Now, more than ever, working out is important. COVID-19 is still an issue we are facing. But new data in a national study is showing that there is no evidence of COVID-19 spread in gyms.

“Of More than 49.4 Million Health Club Visits, Only 0.0023 Percent Tested Positive for COVID-19 – More than 500 Times Less than the Current Estimated U.S. National Average.”

Working out is important. It always has been. And data is showing that maintaining a healthy weight, lowering blood pressure, and keeping blood sugar in check is important for a healthy immune system – which is what will help prevent and fight off COVID.

Access to fitness centers is key to keeping Americans healthy. Physical activity plays an important role in not only maintaining a healthy immune system, but reducing COVID-19 risk factors such as obesity, heart disease, lung disease and diabetes.”

We are doing everything we can to make sure your time at Recursive is safe – from both injuries and germs (like COVID-19). You can read all about our Safety Procedures.

But, we also realize that things are still a bit scary. There is a lot unknown. We truly believe that we can keep people safe in the gym in our small group classes. BUT, we also want to make sure to continue to help people with their fitness if  they aren’t comfortable being in indoor spaces right now. We get it. And we have options.

At Recursive, we have several options to help you build that health hedge against disease and sickness, even if you don’t want to come in for small group classes.

Remote CoachingAccountability Keeps You on Track.
You don’t have to be at the gym, in a class, to get good coaching and an effective workout. You may think it will be easier to skip a workout, or put it off until tomorrow (especially now when most of us are home the majority of the time), but Coaches will send you individualized workouts each week AND check in with you to see how they went.

You get the convenience of working out when your schedule allows and the accountability of a Coach checking in on you. PLUS, the comfort of doing the workouts in your own home – and we don’t care what you wear or what music you listen to while you do it!

Personal Training (In-Person or Virtually)Accountability, Motivation, Education, and Efficiency

Maybe you are bored with the same old workout DVDs or repetitive boot camp classes. You need to be challenged both mentally and physically. It’s helpful to have someone to personally help you set goals with an objective eye to keep them realistic.

A Personal Trainer will be in tune with you and what you are working for and are going to be sure that you are putting in the work to get the results you expect. They are also going to know you well enough to be sure you are challenged as you progress (and to keep you progressing.) They are going to make sure you are seeing maximum results in minimal time. And the best part is that this can all be done in private sessions at the gym or in the comfort of your own home virtually! Both options will help to keep you safe from COVID-19.

Small Group Classes – Community and Challenge
Of course, we also offer traditional small group classes (10 people or less, plus a Coach.) We are doing everything we can to keep everyone safe while in our facility. You can read all about our Safety Procedures.

Group classes are a great option if you thrive on community and camaraderie. Being in a class with other people will also give you an hour a day where you can be a bit social and safely interact with other people. It may be the motivation you need to get to the gym and workout. And it may be the nudge you need to push yourself a little bit out of your comfort zone and try new things or push yourself harder in a workout.

We would love to help you reach all of your health and fitness, nutrition and wellness goals. And with so many options that have proven to be effective, you don’t even have to be local for us to do that! Schedule a complimentary, no obligation No Sweat Intro to see what options would work best for you.
